Aldersgate Sunday Celebration
Thursday, 24 May 2018, 7:45 p.m.
Aldersgate Lecture (and panel discussion)
Venue: Paya Lebar Methodist Church, 5 Boundary Road, Singapore 549954
What types of families does God use? Does He only call “picture-perfect” or idealised families? Or can He work through authentic families, just as we are, so that as a family our loving unity would bring glory to God?
Accounts of imperfect families in the Bible offer great hope for us – just as God used them despite their brokenness to accomplish His perfect purposes. God can use us in whatever family situation we find ourselves in. He does call us – as individuals, as family units, and as a family in Christ – to come to Him just as we are, ‘warts and all’, and promises His grace that works in us to sanctify us for His glory.
Come and worship God as a family at the Aldersgate Sunday Celebration on 20 May. Hear Bishop Emeritus Dr Wee Boon Hup and keynote speakers Ms Denise Phua and Mr Jason Wong share from authentic experiences of family life (in contemporary times and as historically recorded in the Bible), and from their understanding of God’s call for families at the Aldersgate Lecture on 24 May. Join in the conversation and pose your questions during the panel discussion.
Admission is free. Registration required by 7 May.
